The Banner-ASU Neuroscience Scholars program offers college undergraduates and graduate science students the opportunity to expand their learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom.

The program, founded in 2003 by Banner Research, is designed to increase students’ interest and literacy in science and research by expanding their learning experiences beyond the classroom.  

The Banner-ASU Neuroscience Scholars summer training program is designed to provide undergraduate students an opportunity to spend eight weeks working side-by-side with some of the world’s most talented scientists, clinicians and professionals in an environment devoted to biomedical research and clinical care in the areas of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.

The goal of this program is to inspire students to embrace science, medicine, aging research or care for the elderly as a career choice, and to continue the pursuit of scientific exploration throughout their academic careers. Scholars come from diverse backgrounds from colleges and universities around the country.
